Classroom Expectations: These will be the rules for my classroom during the 2018-19 school year.
1. Be on time, on task, prepared to learn and listen everyday.
2. Respect yourself, other people, and the classroom.
3. Be responsible for yourself, your learning, and your actions. Carry out your student responsibilities.
4. Keep all personal electronics (cell phones) out of the classroom.
5. Help maintain a clean environment, even if it is not your mess! Be helpful, it is the right thing to do!
Student Responsibilities: These are also good work habits that all good students need to develop.
1. Keep track of books and assignments.
2. Start your work on time and allow enough time to finish.
3. Ask for help when you need it.
4. Do your own work.
5. Turn your work in on time.
6. Accept responsibility for grades and consequences.
Discipline Plan:
If the rules and procedures for the classroom are not followed, students will receive three reminders/warnings per class period. The 1st reminder will be a simple signal or a verbal cue. The 2nd reminder will be visual (a small note that reminds the student to make better choices). The 3rd and final reminder will be visual also (a small note to see the teacher at the end of class). If a student receives the 3rd warning note, I will make plans to contact the parents/guardian with the student as soon as possible that school day. During the discussion with parents/guardians a decision will be made if further consequences are needed. However, in some cases the behavior may be so severe to put the student at the third warning consequence immediately. When a consequence is given it will be respectful, proportional, immediate, and followed by a clean slate.
